This black and white little clucker escaped last night from our "escape proof" run.

We found her walking along the fence in our neighbor's yard trying to get back to our coop.

We know she was out for a bit because we found an egg she had laid.

Our first thought was "of course our flightiest chicken escaped". Our second thought was "oh-no! She can fly!" when she almost flew into a 2nd neighbor's yard.

Prior to this year, we only had wyandotte chickens, which are very heavy and cannot fly well.

The moral of the story, is that you are always learning and adapting when you have chickens, as well as always having to mend the chicken run.

Little Pez is now safe at home with her flock.

Something spooky broke in last night and turned our cinnamon rolls into ghosts and made spider webs on our brownies.

But, don't worry, they left our new cinnamon roll trio featuring classic, pumpkin spice, and apple c***r alone.

For spooky and not so spooky gluten-free baked goodies, visit us at the East Haven Farmers Market from 8:30-1:30pm today!
