We are so happy to say that Edwin went to his forever home today- and how fitting as it was the first day we’ve heard him crow. ❤️

The girls are laying- though it’s slow right now. Here on the homestead we do not force our hens to lay unnaturally during the cold months; we allow nature to do as it intends. I have a waiting list for eggs but please let me know if you want to be put on it.

We are excited to share that bake orders are once again being accepted on the homestead. A springtime menu is in the works- but until then please feel free to contact us for sandwich bread, cinnamon ripple bread, sugar cookie bars, and bagels.

Do I know anyone looking for a young rooster? He is a barnyard mix. Dad is a good rooster who protects his gals and is calm around us.

Bake orders will be on hold until the weekend of October 19th (at minimum) due to a surgery I am having on Monday. Eggs will still be available for pickup only at the homestead as soon as I am discharged- likely by Wednesday. Please message for egg pickup if interested!

Two recipes were tested today and one is a keeper. Happy to say we will be offering a long loaf oat bread for the fall season. This loaf is NOT sourdough, but still delicious!
