of my favorite maple producers!

They still always help me out when I am in a pinch and am between deliveries of maple sugar from Butternut Mountain Farm.

It’s cookie time at Moon scones!

Time to celebrate the deliciousness of
nothing artificial …
locally sourced ingredients …
fair trade organic chocolate & vanilla …
and only maple sugar as the sweetener!

Over the years …
before I owned my bakery …
I was often tempted to purchase a “pretty” cookie …
one that was artistically designed with icing or had some other type of decoration with highly questionable origins.

Whenever I bit into these cookies …
invariably, I was always disappointed.
The cookie held no actual flavor other than the hard sweet of cane sugar … and that just didn’t appeal to me.

Yes … I’m the “scone lady” …
I make moon scones.
But, I also care … in general …
about creating food that tastes good.
Food that makes your mouth water when you smell it in the bag … or when you take that first bite.
Food that brings great blooming flavor to your palate.
I want you to remember my cookies …
to think about them maybe “a little too much,” like the friendly staffer at Orvis Manchester: Flagship told me.
Food that makes you dream about the flavor … like the sweet Alpaca lady at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market told me.
Food that makes you feel like you need that flavor in your life more often … almost like addiction (salted caramel oat moon cookies).

If you’re going to eat “sweets” … eat the best sweets you possibly can …
eat moon scones sweets.

Eat real food with real flavor.

and again on
Sunday, February 9th from 8-11am.

moon scones gets its sweetness from local maple trees and local honey bees.

Nothing artificial is ever used at moon scones and the finest ingredients are sourced locally when possible … the chocolate & vanilla are fair trade organic.

Pop them into a Ziploc bag in the freezer
and they will last months!
Reheat in the oven at 280F for 8-10 minutes.
