One of my favorite parts of running this business is the unexpected connections.

People ask why I call them Hugs Disguised as Cookies™.

Mostly because that is what they are.

Someone is sending a cookie to a sister three states away. A coworker who just lost her mom. A college kid in the middle of finals. A client they have not seen in person all year. The cookie is the messenger. The hug is the point.

Eight and a half years of doing this and the feedback has not changed. The box opens, the note gets read first, and the cookie comes after.

Today is National Chocolate Chip Day. 🍪

We did not need a holiday to defend the chocolate chip, but we will absolutely use one.
