This cake may have started with a vision in my head, but bringing it to life took an incredible team of talented people. 🤎
My brother, Ted an amazing artist himself, helped engineer the structure and inner workings that made this sculpted deer possible. One of my dearest friends, Robin Byrd of I Think So Cakes whom I’ve had the privilege of designing alongside for 36 years, jumped right in and played such a huge part in bringing every detail together.
My incredibly talented sugar artist, Sheila, worked her magic, while my amazing baker, Jeff and heavy lifter made it delicious . A huge thank-you to my office manager, Miranda who handles a million things behind the scenes—running for supplies, keeping us organized, solving problems, and making sure we have everything we need to create.
When people see a finished cake like this, they see the final piece. What they don’t always see are all the hands, talent, hours, problem-solving, laughter, and teamwork behind it.
I’m incredibly proud of what we created, but even more grateful for the people who helped me create it. I truly could not have done this one without you. 🤎🦌
