I left my hometown of Dayton, OH at the age of 10 with my mom, two older brothers and my younger sister as we embarked on a journey to the West Coast (Hollywood, Los Angeles and San Diego, CA). I spent most of my years building a life in San Diego, CA where my one and only son, Kenneth Howe (Kasino Marxs on IG) was born and continues to thrive today. I met the love of my life while he was on shore duty in San Diego in 1995. I moved to VA in 1996 and married the kindest man I know and began a new life in the City of Norfolk. It was very difficult adjusting to a life in VA after living in the best place on the planet (in my mind) but thank God, he showed me how adjustment to a new environment can be uplifting challenging and rewarding. Seeing my passion for baking, (shortly after my retirement) my husband encouraged me to take it up a notch and start a business in 2022.
