Norfolk Sharpening

10/17/2026

Off to the 7th annual on-site sharpening event in Needham this morning. Since 2020, I’ve teamed up with this homeowner to sharpen for his neighbors. He’s been gracious enough to let me sharpen in his driveway (last few years in the garage!). He organizes the whole thing and I just show up and sharpen. Thanks to my employer for use of the van. So much easier! Updates to come…

Another Drive-Up Sharpening Event in the books here at Norfolk Sharpening. 5 customers are on their way with wicked sharp knives (Holliston, Plainville, Norfolk, Walpole, and Worcester!), 23 knives in total. If you missed this one today, I’ll do another in October. BUT, as always, drop boxes are open 24 hours. Drop off anytime.

Thanks to folks who signed up for the first waiting event of the year (I have to come up with a better name for this 😁). Six customers signed up for a one hour time block to get their knives sharpened while they waited. Everyone was on their way with sharp knives after 30-40 minutes. Hopefully they got some good reading in whilst sitting in my driveway! It was nice meeting everyone, finding out where they were coming from, etc. I got some good book recommendations, checked out a cool car, and just over all had a great morning meeting my customers (which I normally don't get a chance to do!).

Convenient 24 hour roadside drop box system. Quick turnarounds. Get those edges back!

Have you ever wondered how I get all those knives from the drop boxes to the shop? (Nobody has, but I have to post something 😁). They’re a great way of organizing customer orders. Plus, I just love making these totes. Carpentry 101, but it’s a nice excuse to use my tools and create something.
