📢 LPCA of Georgia Member Update: CE Broker Information

We've received several questions regarding CE Broker and recent announcements from the Georgia Secretary of State's Office.

Important: CE Broker is NOT currently required for licensees under the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists.

While CE Broker has partnered with several Georgia licensing boards and is becoming the official continuing education tracking system for many professions, the Georgia Composite Board has not announced a requirement for LPCs, APCs, LCSWs, LMSWs, MFTs, or AMFTs to use CE Broker at this time.

Following the passage of Senate Bill 125, the Secretary of State's Office began integrating CE Broker into the GOALS licensing system, with broader implementation beginning in June 2025. Several professions are expected to begin mandatory CE Broker reporting on January 1, 2026, including:

• Cosmetologists and Barbers
• Electrical Contractors
• Funeral Service Professionals

LPCA of Georgia will continue to monitor updates from the Composite Board and will keep members informed of any changes that may impact our profession.

As always, be sure to follow the Georgia Composite Board's guidance directly regarding licensure and continuing education requirements.

As we officially close out another incredible conference season, LPCA of Georgia would like to extend one final heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our 38th Annual LPCA Convention & Regional Conference in Atlanta!

This year's conference was a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, collaborate, and celebrate the counseling profession alongside colleagues from across the region. We were honored to host such an amazing community of counselors, students, supervisors, educators, and mental health professionals. Your dedication to serving others and advancing our profession continues to inspire us.
