Bread shouldn’t have to be a blood sugar roller coaster! 🥖📉

I’ve been diving into the science of Gluten-Free Sourdough and fermented foods, and it’s a game changer for keeping energy levels steady. Here’s the "why" behind the magic:
*No Spikes: The fermentation process breaks down starches, giving it a lower Glycemic Index than regular GF bread.
*Acid Power: Natural lactic and acetic acids slow down glucose absorption.
*Gut Love: Fermented foods (like kimchi or kraut) help the microbiome manage insulin more effectively.

👩🏻‍🍳Pro-tip: To keep those levels even flatter, eat your fiber/fermented veggies first, and always pair your sourdough with a healthy fat or protein! 🥑🍳

Just posted some Halloween diapers that are ready to ship. Get them before they're gone!

All in-stock supplies have been updated and the note with all my specialty snaps is updated as well. Message me for custom orders!

Just purchased a bunch of BumGenius 4.0s and Flips that need to be snap converted. Finishing up a custom order this week and then I'll be doing some snap changes! Soon there will be tons of BGs ready for painting and purchase. 😀

My family have moved this week and all my diapers, snaps, paint, etc. got stored instead of moved. For this reason, I will be closed for buying and customs for about 2 weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thinking I'm going to paint a Mockingjay diaper today....

I've been asked what my prepping process is for diapers. First off, in order to keep my prices on in-stock items low, I often purchase used diapers locally and "China cheapies." {I also bought a bunch of "fixer upper" diapers when I first started, thus the reason some of my in-stock diapers are not in the best condition.}

To prep used diapers, first I strip them using the method recommended in the group Fluff Love & CD Science (details in comments). Once painted, it's not a good idea to strip diapers because it can deteriorate the paint. Next, I sanitize them by bleaching them (details in comments). After that, I do one full wash in hot water on the heavy soil setting with a full scoop of powdered Tide and then dry them completely. Once dry, I repeat with another full wash, this time cold water, and dry. For new diapers, I skip the strip and bleach steps, and just do two full wash and dry cycles. The reason I do two is not just to make sure they're clean, but to soften up the fabric so I can get the best results with painting them.

Once I have finished painting diapers, I let them dry for 24 hours (48 hours if they have glitter paint) and then heat set them by putting them in the dryer on high for 30 minutes. After that, I wash them in cold water with detergent and dry them one more time to be certain I made no mistakes and then they are ready to go!

So, that's my process! I've gotten tips from people who have been painting diapers longer than me, so these help give painted diapers the optimum results. Feel free to ask any questions. :)
