Good morning and welcome to this week's Sunday recap!
It was a busy and fun filled week with birthday parties, bridal showers, and another bakery stand day. One of this week's birthday party themes has been on my baking bucket list for a long time, and I was so excited to finally bring it to life. I also paired it with one of my new miniature cakes, which I am now offering. They're the perfect size for a birthday candle and a special treat for the guest of honor. More information and pictures to come soon!
I can't wait to show you all the custom orders I worked on this week!
We also had an incredible day at the bakery stand on Friday. Thank you so much to every single person who stopped by. Your support means more than I can put into words. You continue to show up for me week after week, and I am so incredibly grateful.
I will not have a bakery stand this coming week as I'll be busy with Father's Day pickups, but I'll be back on Friday, June 26th, with another amazing menu that I've already started planning.
On the personal side, after a several week book slump, I finally started reading again this week, and I am so happy to be back. I had really missed it.
I also made homemade twisted garlic butter breadsticks from scratch, and they were amazing. It was like biting into a cloud. I was so excited with how they turned out. There is something special about baking bread from scratch that makes your home feel warm, cozy, and inviting.
Today is going to be a day of rest and reset before another busy week. I do plan to do a little meal prep, including making more bread and some baked oatmeal bars for quick and easy breakfasts throughout the week.
For this week's small business shoutout, I would love to highlight a business that I recently came across and was absolutely in awe of.
Augustus Love Designs - Art, Jewelry, Handmade Goods
The first picture is a pair of earrings that I purchased for myself, and they are absolutely stunning.
This husband and wife team creates handcrafted wooden jewelry. The husband does all of the woodworking, while the wife hand paints each piece. Every single item is unique, custom, and one of a kind because each design is painted by hand. The talent and skill behind their work is incredible.
I honestly wanted every single piece of jewelry I saw, but I finally settled on the cherry earrings because I absolutely adore cherries. They are the perfect addition to my ever growing collection of fun and unique earrings.
Be sure to check them out. Their work is truly amazing.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. Thank you for being here, truly.
