Good morning!

Today’s Alani-inspired flavor of the week is Dream Float!

These cake pops have that classic creamsicle flavor that just screams summer. I am amazed at how close they taste to the actual energy drink.

They’ll be available tomorrow at the bakery stand & treat cart and can also be ordered anytime.

Last week’s Cotton Candy was a huge hit, and I’m so excited to introduce Dream Float next. I can’t wait for you all to try them!

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to this week's Sunday Recap!

This week was all about celebrating some very special birthdays with cake, cupcakes, and other delicious goodies, while also pulling off the largest bakery stand & treat cart I have done yet. It was a busy, fun week with lots of new items going through the test kitchen, and I am so excited with how everything turned out!

Before anything else, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported this week's cart. Whether you stopped by, shared a post, told a friend, left a kind comment, placed an order, or simply cheered me on, thank you. This was the largest cart I have ever done, and your support means more than I can put into words. Every week I am reminded how lucky I am to have such an incredible community behind Kate's Cocoa Kitchen.

I have received so much good feedback, and I have many more new items to come. The list is ever growing!

My favorite thing I baked this week was definitely the zucchini bread. Zucchini bread has always been a favorite of mine ever since I was a little girl, and this recipe was absolutely amazing. My favorite part was the cinnamon sugar crust. There is just something about fresh zucchini bread baking in the oven that brings back such good memories and makes everything feel so comfortable and homey.

I love shopping at farmers markets, and using fresh zucchini made it even better. If anyone who follows my page sells vegetables or anything homegrown this year, please feel free to reach out to me. I love buying homegrown vegetables, especially local ones.

I also had a blast introducing the cotton candy Alani inspired cake pops. Stay tuned for next week's Alani inspired cake pop flavor. I think you are going to absolutely love it, and it is perfect for the incoming summer!

Cotton candy cake pops are available to purchase at any time (depending on availability, of course).

I also had so much fun introducing the second flavor in my loaded brownie lineup, with Buckeye Brownies being the first. There will be many more flavors coming over the upcoming weeks, including a new one that will hopefully be at the bakery cart next week.

I am keeping an eye on the possibility of Friday for next week, and I will update with the exact day and time on Monday or Tuesday.

On the personal side, my seasonal allergies finally decided to make their annual appearance this week. It was not the most fun part of the week, but thankfully I am starting to feel much better.

Even with the allergies slowing me down a bit, there were still lots of fun moments and lots of fun ingredients to try. For me, relaxation can take the form of trying new recipes and baking things in my kitchen for my husband and I.

It was also a very music filled week for me. I often listen to audiobooks while I work or have TV playing in the background, but this week I mainly listened to music. It was one of those weeks where I needed to stay focused, so I had a great time listening to a very mixed playlist with all different genres and artists. There really is not a lot I do not like to listen to, but my favorite genres are current pop (don't judge me!) and classical music.

My husband unfortunately had to work yesterday, so I planned to spend today relaxing with him, cooking some good food, and doing some meal prep for the week ahead.

Today's small business shoutout actually ties into this week's allergy adventures. I would love to give a shoutout to Dr. Amy Dove. She owns Omorfia Wellness Center and Primary Care and she is absolutely incredible.

I discovered her a few months ago when I was looking for help with sleep and, more recently, allergies. She has been the most amazing, kind doctor. She listens, she cares, and she genuinely wants to help solve problems. Your baker is finally getting good sleep, guys. That is a first for me, ever!

I highly recommend Dr. Dove if anyone in the Nicholasville or greater area is looking for a primary care doctor. She is highly recommended in the area, and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is attentive, compassionate, and truly listens to her patients.

Small businesses are the backbone of any city, and Nicholasville is very lucky to have you, Dr. Dove.

I hope you all have a great week ahead. Stay tuned for a big announcement tonight about something happening very soon!

Thank you for being here, truly. 🤍

Hey everyone! The cart is closed.

I appreciate every single person who came out today so much. We had some new faces, and we had people who have been to every single cart, or almost every one. Thank you, truly.

I made nearly double the amount of items I have ever made for the cart this time. I started with 126 items today, and you all were so amazing and supportive. I ended with 22 items!

I also ran out of bags today, which is how incredible you guys are! I promise I will have more bags at the next cart.

I do have some extras available, and they will be posted on the website tonight at 7 p.m. Because quantities are limited, extras will only be sold through the website so I can enter the exact quantities and make sure nothing oversells.

If you would like to sign up for reminders for when the extras drop tonight, you can do that on the website:

hotplate.com/katescocoakitchen

Pickup for extras will be tomorrow morning at:

10:30 a.m. at KFC on Main in Nicholasville
11:15 a.m. at Red Robin in Brannon Crossing

These are the only pickup times I will have available tomorrow, so please keep that in mind before ordering.

If you select the Venmo option at checkout, please complete payment within 30 minutes. This helps me keep everything organized and ensures inventory stays accurate for everyone shopping the extras tonight.

Because quantities are limited, any claimed items that are not picked up by 11:15 a.m. tomorrow will be donated. Thank you so much for understanding.

I was hoping to catch some of my teachers at this cart, which is part of why I made so much. I did not realize school does not let out until June 1st for a lot of people.

I am hoping to have another cart next week. Date TBD. I will keep you guys updated!

Again, thank you so much to every single person who came out, commented, shared, and tagged people. You all are absolutely amazing.

I would love your feedback on any of the items you tried, so feel free to comment or message me anytime.

It has been an incredible week, and I am already looking forward to our next bakery cart day!

Good morning!

The bakery stand & treat cart is open and ready for you! We will be open until around 4 p.m. or until sellout.

📍 244 Jason Drive, Nicholasville, KY 40356

Feel free to pull into the driveway and park. This is a self-service stand, so come on up, grab your treats, and enjoy! Payment can be made through Venmo or Cash App using the QR codes on top of the cooler, or you can leave cash in the cash box.

I have a LOT of goodies available today and made as much as I could of every item. I am so excited with how everything turned out and can't wait for you to try it all!

The menu is posted below. Unfortunately, I won't be able to update quantities throughout the day as items sell out. If you're making a special trip for a particular item, feel free to send me a message and I'll be happy to check availability for you.

I will post when I am closed or sold out. If you don't see that post, I am still open for business! Also, if you drive by and the sign is still in the front yard, that means there are still treats available.

It's a beautiful day, and I hope many of you get a chance to stop by. Thank you so much for supporting Kate's Cocoa Kitchen. Here's to an amazing final bakery stand of the month!

Good evening, guys!

Here is the menu for my bakery stand & treat cart tomorrow! I’ll be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. (or sellout).

We are located at 244 Jason Drive, Nicholasville, KY 40356.

You are welcome to pull in, park in the driveway, walk up, grab your treats, and pay at the cart. Venmo and Cash App QR codes will be on top of the cart to scan, or you can leave cash. If paying with cash, please bring exact change.

No holds, no prepays, and no preorders. Everything is first come, first served.

As you can see, I have a lot of new menu items this week, and I am so excited about all of them!

If you saw my post earlier today, I announced my new Alani-inspired cake pop flavor line. Tomorrow I’ll have cotton candy cake pops available! Please be aware these do have actual Alani in them, so if you would prefer for you or anyone with you not to have one, I’ll also have vanilla cake pops available.

I’m also introducing a line of loaded brownies over the summer, and we are starting with s’mores brownies!

You’ll also notice granola on the menu. This is absolutely my favorite type of granola. It’s loaded with pecans, almonds, maple syrup, and oats. I normally add coconut, but I decided not to this time because coconut can be a love-it-or-hate-it ingredient.

I also have fresh zucchini bread on the menu, and it is amazing. My house smelled so good while it was baking today!

You’ll also see chocolate-covered apple slices on the menu. I wasn’t able to find good grapes this week, so I pivoted and we are doing apple slices instead. Some will have caramel and peanuts, and some will have just caramel. I hope you’ll give them a try!

I made A LOT of items this week, but some do have limited quantities, so come in the morning for the best selection.

I also want to point out that I found the most incredible strawberries this week. They are amazing!

I hope you’ll come out, grab yourself a treat, celebrate the end of the month, and enjoy the break in the weather.

Any extra items remaining after the stand closes at 4 p.m. will be added to my website for Saturday pickup.

Thank you guys so much for being here!

If you know someone in Nicholasville who might like to come tomorrow, please tag them. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or send me a message, and I’ll be happy to answer.
