Let your light shine. ✨

This Sunday, we conclude our Three Beats Deep series with a joyful invitation to live fully alive. The light is already lit within us. How might we let our love, courage, and joy shine where they can be seen?

As we celebrate World Communion Sunday, we’ll gather at Christ’s open table with a sense of connection to Christians around the world. We’ll also have an opportunity to renew our baptismal promises together.

And there will be beautiful music! Our own Dave Talmage will be joined by visiting musician, friend, and former NCC Deacon John Decker, who will share the sounds of his French horn. 🎶

This kind of feedback makes our day. 💜

The NCC Thrift Shop is powered by an incredible team of volunteers who give their time and care to keep the shop organized, welcoming, and filled with affordable finds for our community.

We’re so grateful for every volunteer who makes the Thrift Shop possible, and for every customer who shops, donates, shares a kind word, or tells a friend about us.

It truly takes a community, and we appreciate each of you!

Newmarket Community Church is pleased to welcome Gather’s Mobile Market to our community.

Every other Monday, Gather will use the NCC Food Pantry space to offer a farmers’ market-style selection of food at no cost, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy, eggs, pantry staples, and more.

📅 Every other Monday beginning September 21
⏰ 12–2 PM
📍 Newmarket Community Church, 137 Main St.

Gather also visits Lamprey Health Care every other Thursday from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM beginning September 3.

To shop at either mobile market, simply register with Gather. You must live or work in New Hampshire or Maine, and walk-in registration is available. Already a Gather member? Your existing registration works at any Gather location.

❤ One important thing for our NCC Food Pantry Shoppers:
The Gather Mobile Market and NCC Food Pantry are separate programs.
Gather is using NCC’s Food Pantry space for its distribution, but shopping with Gather does not affect your ability to use the NCC Food Pantry. You can shop with Gather every week and still shop at the NCC Food Pantry every week.

We’re grateful to help bring another food resource to our Newmarket neighbors.

Have you ever wanted something so much that you would step out of a boat to get it?

This Sunday, we continue our journey through Three Beats Deep by Kirk Byron Jones and meet Peter out on the water in Matthew 14:22–33.

Peter had the desire and courage to step out of the boat toward Jesus. But when he began to sink, he needed a different kind of courage: the humility to accept help and climb back in.

Getting out can look brave. Getting back in, soaking wet and a little embarrassed, can require even more courage.

Join us Sunday as we reflect on what it means to take risks, receive help, and find our way back when things don’t go as planned. The choir will be singing, and there will be peace, joy, and a place for you in the sanctuary. 💜

As Yom Kippur comes to a close this evening, we hold our Jewish siblings in our hearts on this sacred Day of Atonement. Yom Kippur is a time of prayer, repentance, forgiveness, and reflection, observed this year from sundown September 20 through nightfall September 21.

May this time of reflection bring peace, renewal, and deeper connection. May prayers for forgiveness be heard, and may all of us be inspired to seek reconciliation, extend grace, and continue the work of creating a more compassionate world.

To our Jewish friends, neighbors, and community members: G’mar chatima tovah. 💜
