Tried something different this evening. Vanilla cake with swiss meringue buttercream. In my opinion this is the best vanilla buttercream I've tasted and made. It's not too sweet and as you can see in the pictures it's very smooth and creamy. Vanilla buttercream has always been too sweet for me but this is just right!
