My lebkuchenherzen 🤎 is very full after these past two fun filled days. 🇩🇪

German Fest is so much more than a festival. It's a celebration of heritage, tradition, community, and the people who work so hard to keep all of those things alive. 🍻

A heartfelt thank you to the Federation of German American Societies for welcoming SweetImpressions and for all of the work that goes into making German Fest happen year after year. There are countless hours of planning, preparation and practice behind an event like this, and I am so grateful to have been a small part of it. 🐦

To my returning customers — seeing your familiar faces come to my booth is one of my favorite parts of these festivals. Thank you for seeking me out, for coming back year after year, for sharing your stories with me, and for continuing to support what I do. Every "I missed you last year!" makes me smile 😁

And to all of my new customers — thank you for stopping, asking questions, trying my cookies, and letting me share a little bit of what I love with you. I met so many wonderful people this weekend, and I hope I'll see many of you again. 💞

To the dancers and musicians — thank you for filling the grounds with the sights and sounds that make a German Fest feel like a German Fest. To everyone in the kitchen, and to the volunteers seemingly everywhere, doing everything — thank you. Your hard work may not always be the most visible part of the weekend, but none of this happens without you. 🎶🥨

And thank you to everyone who stopped at my booth simply to say hello, share a memory, tell me about a family tradition, or talk about a cookie mold that reminded you of something from your childhood. Those conversations are a huge part of why I love doing this. 🥰

I came home tired, grateful, and already looking forward to next year!

Thank you for a wonderful German Fest and for helping keep these traditions alive — one generation, one memory, and in my little corner of it, one cookie at a time. 😘
