So crazy proud of my co-op students today! My cake decorating class had only 1 hour and they managed to stack, fill, crumb coat, final coat, make Ganache and finish these fun drip cakes!
My 2nd year culinary students completed my version of "Chopped" Appetizer round with only 45 minutes and 4 mystery ingredients like Champs!
I will post pics of their wonderful creations later. They had chorizo, butternut squash, black sesame seeds, and coconut milk as their mystery basket. The 4 students made: quinoa salad with roasted butternut squash and sesame seeds and a chorizo sauce, butternut coconut rice with lime and a garlic sesame chorizo toast, roasted squash and coconut sesame toast with chorizo and fresh tomato, and a salad with roasted honeyed butternut squash and chorizo honey vinaigrette topped with sesame..... they did amazing and such creativity. So proud of them all. They pushed past the stress and fear and jumped right in!
