New to the soft serve lineup: BLACK SESAME-SOUR CHERRY PAV. There are shards of black sesame streaked meringue and bits of black sesame brittle and more cherries than you can shake a stick at.

SOUR CHERRY COFFEECAKE is a version of Miro’s mom’s cake. Hani made this on repeat with cherries from a grove of trees they shared with a neighbor. All the children would scramble up the trees and pick the cherries, then sit around the dining table, helping pit them. Miro says they did this without complaining only because they knew there were big squares of cherry-studded cake to be had at the end.

We added a bit of oat crisp and tarragon sugar on top, but otherwise the recipe is as it was in her notebook.

Thank god for Friday but like actually thank god for SOFT SERVE FRIDAY (and Saturday and Sunday) especially.

Current menu is
STRAWBERRY NUT CRUNCH: pistachio cake, pistachio crunch, nice olive oil

HOT FUDGE: brownie bits, hot fudge, and a cherry on top

SOUR CHERRY CRISP: brown sugar-oat streusel, candied pecans, and sour cherry jam

Starts at 5 pm on Fridays and 5:30 pm on the weekends.
