Our sweet Phoebe crossed the rainbow bridge. 😢💔🙏
I never got a chance to bake anything for Phoebe since she was allergic to certain foods. But when we found out she only had a few days left to live, I decided to make her something she's never tried before, chocolate! Dogs can't have chocolate cause it's toxic for them. But might as well let her enjoy it! She had no appetite during her last days, so she didn't eat the chocolate cupcake, but she licked some of the chocolate buttercream. 🍫
It's been the longest 3 weeks of my life. Time is going by so slow without her around. Feels so empty. I know she's no longer suffering and is at peace now. Still, I miss her so much! 😭
Phoebe was our family dog. We trained her to help my mom pick up light things from the floor. My mom has a bad back and can't bend down so Phoebe was such a great help. She kept all of us company during the good times and bad. She was my study buddie during my college days. She was also my cuddle buddie and most importantly, she was family. She was the sweetest, smartest, silliest, and most loving dog. But it didn't feel as though she was a dog. She was so smart, almost human-like. It was truly a blessing to have her in our lives. 💕
One time, my dad's Oscar fish jumped out of the tank in middle of the night. Everyone was asleep but it woke Pheebs. She managed to gently place the fish on the sofa with her mouth and alerted my dad to wake up. She led him to the fish on the sofa and my dad quickly put the fish back in the tank. The Oscar fish wasn't injured and lived. Pheebs was also a hero. ❤️
She was always friendly with guests and would lick our fingers if she accidentally bit them when we feed her snacks. She was so gentle and sweet. There will be no other dog like Phoebe. 😢
She lived 16, almost 17 wonderful years. We're glad we got a chance to spend last moments with her. Took last pics and videos of her. We all got to say our last goodbyes and held her close as she crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈
Rest in Peace Phoebe. We love you and miss you always. 🙏💔😢
