We have apple tarts in the case- good for a sweet new year- these are apple pie filling in a shortbread crust, crumble on top because I love gluten. We also have croissants from today (Wednesdays only!)- we’re trying this out and if you all like having them there we’ll keep it going!

Open regular hours upstate and down today! I love these weekends when our NYC customers come up to visit us in New Paltz, it’s been so nice to meet and see a bunch of city pals. The Farmer’s Almanac says it’s going to be a beautiful fall so hope to see everyone amongst the swirling leaves soon. I have this whole idea of covering with giant homemade spiders for Halloween so get hyped for that…in the meantime I’m putting my favorite summer song on this post because I’m already feeling nostalgic.

The first sign of fall in the shop: Tahini Meltaways are back. They literally really and truly melt away quickly so we don’t make them at the height of summer. But they sell extremely well so, like, we gotta make em! We use made-in-the-USA tahini with organic Mexican sesame seeds to make two layers of meltaway, one with white chocolate and one with dark, then enrobe the whole thing in 65% dark chocolate and garnish it with homemade gomasio. I love this photo took of these babes years ago. We no longer cut them in a diamond shape because it was frankly making us kinda bonkers so now they are squares.

Plus we have Apricot Crumble Tarts with local fruit, and White Peach Tarts with same. And dozens and dozens more treats. What a world!!

Just a Wednesday afternoon Thyme, Preserved Lemon and Sea Salt Caramel break. I just ate this one in the photo and it was the same triple treat it’s been for years. There is so much you can’t depend on lately. The least we can do is not let candy let you down, you know? We’ll always have TSSC (our in house abbreviation)!

Popping in here to mention this Neapolitan Vegan Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich, long time coming for the return of this magic-shelled 2.75” diameter darling. If you don’t see it in our mini freezer please ask for it- it might be in the back. Not in love strawberry ice cream? Maybe the rosewater vanilla bean sandwich is for you, then.
