LITTLE SKIPS MONSTER TATTOOS, THIS SUNDAY—LAST DAY OPEN!!!

This was suppose to be a tattoo flash post (scroll to last pic on slide show), but it ultimately became a Dan Melo appreciation post:) But yes, he will be doing monster tattoos tomorrow for our last day! We also got a dj so come thru and give us hugs and get tattooed 🤗

Dan has worked with me at just about all locations including Little Mo, the southeast Asian restaurant I opened on the same day I opened Baby Skips cafe (crazy!)

Join us for a night of poetry featuring andriniki mattis, Rio Cortez, and Kyle Carrero Lopez for the book launch of Quiet Fires, the debut poetry collection from andriniki mattis that queries the everpresent questions of Black lives. Be it in a bakery in Brixton, London, at a corner on Malcolm X Blvd, Brooklyn, or the pews of Notre Dame, Paris – whether crossing violent borders on land or in gender, we know how it is to be in a familiar place that feels foreign.

andriniki mattis is the author of Quiet Fires (Anamot Press 2023) and the chaplet Living Btwn the Lines (Belladonna* Press 2018). He has been awarded fellowships from Cave Canem, Poets House, and The Poetry Project. He received his M.A. in Creative Writing and Education from Goldsmiths University of London and a B.A. in Political and Poetic Resistance from Brooklyn College. His poems have appeared in wildness, Indiana Review, Wasifiri, The Cortland Review, and elsewhere. andriniki was born in Brooklyn, where he currently lives.

We are now serving Crowd Pleaser on espresso! Crowd Pleaser is a blend of Central & South American coffee with notes of black cherry 🍒, honey 🍯, and chocolate bar 🍫. It has a medium acidity with a syrupy body and we hope you love it as much as we do! Bags of Crowd Pleaser are also available on our retail shelf.
