My name is Polina (Pauline) Andris and I am the proud founder of Made by Pauline Macarons, a journey that began with a dream and has grown into a nationwide supplier of delectable macarons. In 2014, my husband and I decided to turn our shared love for French pastries into a business. We started small, opening our first bakery in the bustling heart of New York City. With a focus on quality, creativ

ity, and customer satisfaction, our little bakery quickly gained a loyal following. By 2016, we expanded to our second location At Macy’s Herald Square, NY and the momentum continued. Over the next few years, our dedication paid off as we opened five retail locations by 2020. Each location became a community favorite, known for its mouth-watering treats and impeccable customer service. Our macarons, became a standout item, adored by customers for their delicate texture and vibrant flavors. Life, however, is full of unexpected changes. In 2021, my husband and I decided to part ways. It was a challenging time, but I was determined to keep the business alive and thriving. I knew that the heart and soul of our bakery were in those delightful macarons that our customers loved so much. With renewed focus and determination, I made the bold decision to transition our business from retail to wholesale. This pivot allowed us to reach even more macaron enthusiasts across the country. Today, Made by Pauline Macarons, is proud to supply our premium macarons to specialty stores, cafes, and online retailers from coast to coast. Despite the changes, our commitment to quality and creativity remains unwavering. Every macaron we produce is crafted with the same love and attention to detail that we started with back in 2014. We use only the finest ingredients and traditional techniques to ensure that each bite is a moment of pure bliss. As we look to the future, our mission is clear: to continue spreading joy through our macarons, one bite at a time. We are excited to explore new flavors, expand our reach, and share our passion with even more people. As a Made by Pauline sale Associate, your role is to ensure a positive customer experience by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required
Experience in a similar customer focused work environment is preferred
Ability to work well in a busy environment
High energy and engaging personality
Professional demeanor
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (according to customer demand)
A passion for macarons
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Arrive to work promptly on your scheduled days to work
Make sure customers are being taken care of and the store looks great at all times
Treat each customer with kindness and respect at all times
Ensure that product being sold is fresh and presentable
Ensure product quality by checking freshness, rotating products, and removing out-of-date products
Be an expert in our products and be able to explain them to customers
Package all baked goods & merchandise
Ask every customer if they would like to receive a receipt with their purchase and add their name to our customer database
Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
Ensure that all shelves and displays are properly stocked and front-facing
Maintain back stock in good order
Cleaning should be done at the end of your shift and when the kiosk is slow
Maintain open communication with your supervisor and coworkers regarding any issues that may arise
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor

Job summary:

Responsible for operation of two food trailers, managing team members, hiring, training and coaching team members, providing assistance to clients, and packaging, displaying, rotating and storing bakery products.

Manager will ensure excellent client engagement, to address any and all concerns, and to escalate any concerns, as appropriate. The manager will meet with owner weekly and hold staff meetings regularly.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Provides a high level of customer service to members. Answers questions and recommends bakery items.
Making sure best practices and company policies and procedures are upheld.
Selects, trains, and develops staff. Assigns, supervises and monitors the workload of each team member.
Assesses sweet team member performance, provides actionable feedback. Assists in hiring and training and administers corrective action as needed.
Rotates and stores products following proper food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.
Ensures all displays are clean and stocked.
Receives and inspects food trailer shipments.
Conducts bakery inventories as assigned by the owner. Orders and maintains supplies as necessary.
Ensures that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards. Maintains the proper rotation of received goods. Checks for out-of-date products daily and follows salvage and stale product policies and procedures.
Maintains sanitation and safety standards and ensures cleaning checklists are completed.
Maintains all company policies and procedures.
Maintains all NY city health codes, has frequent inspections to make sure store is up to code and keeps an A.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of retail food business
Minimum of 4 years management experience big box wholesale, retail, bakery, grocery and/or management experience is preferred.
High school diploma, college or trade school degree.
Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results.
Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and an attention to detail required.
Open shift availability required.

Who is Pauline?

"My dream has always been to own a little pastry shop." The smell of croissants fresh out of the oven in the morning, coffee and hot chocolate while it's cold outside, few small tables by the window, couples having sweet treats and neighbors making their last stop before going home to pick up some fresh bread for dinner. It was just my imagination running wild back home. A few years ago, I left my corporate job, moved to New York and married a Frenchman. Yes, you read well! A Frenchman, who would have thought! Sometimes it seemed to me that my husband missed Paris, so I began to bake some French cookies and pastries to remind him about his home sweet home. To my biggest surprise it was simply delicious, I decided to go learn and perfect my recipes during a vacation trip in Paris for a month. What started as a hobby became a passion. In Paris i have discovered the art of making the perfect macaron. The process is certainly easy like all French recipes, but like all simple things in life, it can be very easy to make it a flop. Today I’m happy to say that I live my passion. What was all a dream became a reality. Baking for living is what I do now and I have never been so happy. We bake all our macrons with love!
