When I’m not in work mode, you’ll either find me belting out a tune, lost in the pages of a gripping novel, or whipping up some delectable treats in the kitchen. Speaking of which, my home is a mini-jungle of houseplants and the aroma of freshly baked goodies. And while theater nights are a close second, nothing beats quality time with my hubby. I’ve proudly held the reins of our family holiday meals for a decade now, always on the hunt for new recipes to delight the taste buds. Though my baking journey truly took off during the COVID pandemic, I discovered a special love for all things cake and cake-like. This year, I took a leap of faith and began selling my creations to coworkers for their special occasions. With my baking endeavors blossoming, I felt it was the perfect time to document my transition from an amateur home baker to a budding entrepreneur. I know, diving into a side hustle as an elder Millennial might raise a few eyebrows, but given the current economic landscape and my hubby’s health condition, it’s essential for me to rustle up some extra income.
