I am so excited to share with
you this wonderful video made by that helps you understand a little more about who I am, where I come from and what I need to open my dream cake shop!
As most of you already know, I am proud to be a one-woman owned business and I’ve made the conscious decision not to bring any outside investors so that I can keep the authenticity and independence of my small business. This is why I started this kickstarter and am asking for your help to bring my project to life! I created a realistic goal to mainly help with my kitchen equipment.
I would’ve never been able to dream of opening my own space without the help and support of you all during the past two years and this is why I am asking you all to help me make my dream come true. So please please share as much as you can, talk about it to your neighbor, friends and enemies. Any donation would mean the world to me 🤍

To think that this little girl might have found a space to open her own physical bakery!

I started From Lucie a little over a year ago in my small Lower East Side apartment and have been baking full time ever since! I never thought my little cakes would bring you guys so much joy and change my life for the best.
I started baking as it made me feel closer to home. I have always been surrounded by food as I grew up on a farm and a bed and breakfast in the south west of France. My mother would always be baking a cake, making jam and cooking something with whatever we could find in the vegetable garden and on the fruit trees. The whole house would smell of flowers from the garden and I’ve been trying to share this parcel of my life through my cakes.

I’ve decided to take a leap of faith and believe I have found a space to open a small From Lucie bakery. Would you come if I opened a small store front, where you can come in and say hi, eat a good slice of cake with tea, coffee, other baked goods and a few savory bites?
I’m so scared!! 🥺

I am always a little sad when I see pictures of my cakes topped with the regular small multi colored candles that you see at the supermarket and you don’t know where they come from or what they’re really made of.
For all of you who’ve been asking me for almost a year now, I’m finally selling candles to go with your cakes.
They’re 100% pure beeswax tall candles in natural color. They’re are made by Brooklyn based, . They’re beautiful and I hope you’ll love them 🕯
