Spring has always felt like the season of rebirth to me. Everything feels softer, flowers start to bloom and we start to shed the winter blues. It’ll be Persian New Year soon and we are starting our first round of IVF this Spring. I’m excited and hopeful and anxious. Any tips you wish you knew beforehand, I’d love to hear them!!

Finally feels like Spring at the bakery

03/05/2026

This Saturday and Sunday, we are bringing back our Boule Aux Olives aka Olive Bread, now baked using new Oval Bread Oven. To celebrate the new product launch, Le Creuset will be giving away an Oval Bread Oven with a purchase of our Olive Bread to the first 20 people in line each day. First come, first served and only one per person. But don’t worry, any purchase of the Olive Bread after that will come with a smaller Le Creuset gift, while supplies last. We used a Le Creuset Oven our first time baking in the apartment, and are so excited to bring this partnership to the bakery! Can’t wait to see you all!!

This is at our Brooklyn Heights location only!
115 Montague Street.
Doors open at 8am.

A France field trip with our team. We stayed in the countryside in a chateau cooking dinner and playing games by the fire listening to Dalida. Irene, our wine bar manager, brought us to different wine fairs for 3 days where we met farmers & wine producers, learned about their terroir, tasted vintages in old museums and caves and learned the importance of the spit bucket.

We visited a small vineyard and learned the story of Fiona, a wine journalist turned producer in the Loire Valley. We toured her vines, tasted her “perfectly drinkable” wines and had the best picnic in her chateau. .chinon

We drove to Normandie and toured , our butter factory led by a very serious French Butter Master. We tasted butter straight from the vats & learned about the importance of good butter. We celebrated Chandeleur with crĂȘpes and cider and ended the day with a visit to a small cow farm that supplies Isigny with their milk. Before rushing to Paris, our team wanted to visit Omaha beach.

In Paris, we visited 3 very different bakeries We went behind the scenes and chatted with their bakers, chief of sandwiches and their owners. We traded secrets and took comfort in the fact that we all share the same struggles. We strolled through Paris together and it was fun watching Gautier in his element- pointing out things like the Notre-Dame and the French Home Depot named Leroy Merlin.

We ended the trip with dinner at a wine bar and one more nightcap. I feel like a broken record but our managers are the best people we know. They lead with kindness, compassion and so much heart. Most have been with us for years and Pasha has been there before we even opened Montague. Gautier and I feel lucky we got to spend time with them in France and hope we can bring a little bit back to NYC.

We brought our managers to France!!!! Here are a few of our favorite moments from the trip and I can’t wait to share more later. This has always been a dream of ours and this year it finally came true. 💌
