If you or your child are interested in cake decorating classes, Iām starting them at my home. Dates and times will be added as classes fill. We will have classes for adults and children together and adults only. Classes would be one hour and will cover everything from basics like how to fill an icing bag to working with fondant and gum paste. It would be for 8 weeks and cost would be $20 per class or $150 if you want to pay for all in advance. It includes materials needed for use in class but you may want to get your own supplies for at home practice. Iām in New Port Richey off Jasmine Blvd.
Week 1- coloring icing, prep and fill bags, level cake, icing the cake smooth, icing techniques.
Week 2- how to pipe different borders, ruffles, strings, basket weave.
Week 3- simple flowers
Week 4- Royal icing and color flow icing techniques
Week 5- harder flowers
Week 6- building cakes and filling cakes
Week 7- fondant and gum paste (covering cakes and making flowers), modeling chocolate
Week 8- final project
