Partnerships matter!

ALY Media Relations is proud to lead the effort to build the Faith Advisory Council for Superintendent Dr. Fateama Fulmore and NOLA Public Schools. This is the second time we have taken on this work, having built a similar council under the previous administration as well thanks to Henderson Lewis, Jr., Ph.D.!

Yesterday’s conversation was a necessary one. The leadership in the room understood the assignment, and the best is yet to come.

The power of proximity ✨

Martha’s Vineyard reminded me why proximity matters in this work. Who you know or know of, who you’re in the room with, and the relationships you’ve built over time shape what’s possible for the people you serve.

Over 30 years in media relations and community engagement, I’ve built a network that opens doors. When I call, people answer. When there’s a room worth being in, I get invited. And that access doesn’t just benefit me, it benefits every client I work with and my inner circle.

That’s the real value I bring. Not just strategy and ex*****on in excellence, but relationships built over decades that translate into real opportunities for my clients.

Grateful for the chance to connect, listen, and build on those relationships at Martha’s Vineyard this year.

That was the first line of the email from our client following yesterday’s Municipal Complex Business & Community Champions Breakfast Briefing.

While I’m away, the work continues!

ALY Media Relations helped plan and curate the logistics, bringing business and community leaders together for conversation, feedback and engagement around the Municipal Complex project.

I’m away on business, but my Special Assistant Emily represented ALY and held it down!

There’s nothing better than doing the work and hearing from your client that it was a success.

Last night, Le Sanctuary Book Club was honored to receive a generous monetary donation from the United Supreme Council, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern and Western Jurisdiction, USA, Inc.

While I was unable to attend, our Vice President and my sister, Daphney Young, proudly represented Le Sanctuary and accepted this gift on our behalf.

We are incredibly grateful when organizations recognize and invest in the work we are doing to advance literacy in the City of New Orleans. Every contribution helps us continue making an impact, putting books into the hands of our children, and creating opportunities that strengthen our community.

Thank you to the United Supreme Council for seeing our work, believing in our mission, and supporting Le Sanctuary Book Club. We are grateful! ❤️📚

I love my job! Sunday night I accompanied my client to a special “Back to School Communion” service at United Fellowship FGBC.

It was great to see a few members of the new NOLA Public Schools Faith Advisory Council. And on top of that to hear my UP BishopPaulMorton sing and Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III | Pastor, Leader, Visionary preach, was icing on the cake!

My situation is under divine observation! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Thanks Bishop Walker!

Those were the words we heard all evening, and they made every early morning and late night worth it.

Yesterday marked the first of many community engagement sessions for this City of New Orleans project, where we’re proud to serve as Community Engagement Specialists.

Success isn’t measured by attendance alone. It’s measured by meaningful conversations and people leaving feeling heard.

We’re just getting started.

Last night, my sister Daphney Young , co-founder, and Vice President of Le Sanctuary Book Club represented our organization at the 2026 Black & White Ball, where the New Orleans Achievement Foundation publicly announced its $25,000 investment in our literacy mission.

As Founder and President of Le Sanctuary Book Club, I am deeply grateful to the New Orleans Achievement Foundation and the members of the New Orleans Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. New Orleans (LA) Alumni Chapter of KAΨ for believing in our work and helping us expand our impact on literacy throughout our community.

The evening was also a beautiful reminder of what leadership looks like in action. In addition to supporting community organizations, the chapter awarded scholarships to deserving young men, continuing its commitment to education, achievement, and service.

I have been blessed to have several Kappa men in my life, and they consistently represent the very essence of achievement.
