Greetings from The Gals! It’s three nights before Thanksgiving and we are enjoyng gorgeous food and terrific service at Zasu , celebrating our birthdays now past, and laughing a ton. It’s easy to laugh and be yourself the instant you are in the presence of an old friend. Lagnaippe blessings at dinner — running into our dear Addy and the dessert surprise thoughtfully sent out by !!!!!

Our hope is that you’ve used your time since we closed the shop to study pie making — we want assurance that your families won’t be sad without a Windowsill Pie. has a help line if you have an emergency. We have some tough news to share, pie friends:

May 5 will be our last day. Thirteen years in, we are proud of all we’ve created, from the early days baking your orders at home to signing the lease on Freret, and everything in between. It has been a gift to be a part of your special occasions and daily lives.

We will not be filling any new orders as of Saturday, April 27. As we wind down, we’ll keep the case as full as possible for walk-ins. We want to see your faces and hope y’all have time to stop by these next two weeks.

Our arrival at this decision has been challenging, emotional, and bittersweet, but we remain excited and hopeful for our futures. We’ll see you around town. Thank you for all the love and support.
