I had the chance to make this "Bayou Baby" shower cake this summer and just loved getting into this palette knife painting. I'm pretty much obsessed with adding textures to a cake design like this. Used a recipe from her fun book Layer Up! for my daughter's birthday cake this year and it turned out fantastic!! She insisted we add m&ms and wanted to leave out the layer of cookie cake within the cake, but the chocolate chip cookies on top and the edible cookie dough layer were outrageously good! Love love love this cake! 😋😍🥰

Only 2 King Cake Fridays left! My kiddos get king cake every Friday at school during the season and I love that for them. I am also in love with this little king cake cookie design.. my daughter is trying to convince me to make a real version based on this design.. I'm tempted!!
