It's been a long time! I lost all of my baking tools in a fire about a year and a half ago and never went back to restock. I made this vanilla sponge cake with a raspberry apricot filling a chocolate butter cream for my best friends Birthday this weekend. I just used things around the kitchen to make it happen- and I was pleasantly surprised!

Thanks to all my new fans! Unfortunately, I haven't been doing much baking or decorating since the house fire. I lost all of my baking and decorating equipment in it :(

This is my 2nd ever fondant cake.
First two tiered fondant cake.
First time doing string work. It's harder than I thought!
First time doing a brush embroidery flower.
First time doing the "ruffle" border.
First time making cake pops as well.

I made this cake for the PeriAnesthesia Nurses at Valley hospital for their appreciation day. I based it off of the balloon that's above the cake.
