Happy Happy Birthday to my best client! I make a birthday cake every year for her son and husband, and it was a joy to get to make one for her!

This is my take on a tiramisu cake. Vanilla bean cake, coffee simple syrup, faux cream cheese frosting, and homemade lady fingers (the crunchy ones in between the layers and softer ones on top).

Yes, I did make lady fingers from scratch for a cake order (you can see it later. Birthday girl hasn't yet).

Yes, I KNOW they're a little THICCer than they should be— whipped eggs and I are locked in a forever war and im losing 👀😬 (Im looking at YOU Genoise sponge)

And YES, I DID put them in the air fryer to crisp them up for texture reasons.

Hey all!!
While I am busy putting Hot Cocoa Bombs together this week, I wanted to let you all know that on Sunday January 26th, I will be at the Wedding Experience Wedding Show at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena on the UMBC campus in Baltimore, MD. I have done this show in the past and it has been wonderful!

Are you getting married or do you know someone getting married? Do you need to fill a few gaps in the planning or do you need EVERYTHING? This show is going to be great and as one of the few (I might be the only) bakers there, I will have tons of samples for you to try and a few mock-cakes for you to see!

I'll post the tasting menu next week and the only thing I haven't finalized are the designs for the mock-ups. If you see any wedding cakes out there on the internet that you think I should try to do, drop those pics in the comments! I'll make sure you get first look if I choose your design and credit for sending it to me!
