Rosh Hashanah is coming, and we’re baking something special. 🍎🍯💙

For the holiday, we’ll be offering traditional round challah with raisins for $12 each, available by reservation.

This is a little different from our usual pre-ordering. You’re simply reserving your challah so we know to bake one (or more!) for you, and we’ll hold it until you come in.

For all your other Blue Loon favorites, you can pre-order as usual or simply shop when you come in to pick up your challah. This reservation system helps us plan how many special Rosh Hashanah challahs to bake while making sure yours is waiting for you.

Reservations are open September 2–9 and will close at 4 PM on September 9, or earlier if we reach our baking capacity.

Teachers are back, and the coffee’s on us. ☕🍎💙

Our local teachers are back in their classrooms and welcoming students for another school year. We’d like to welcome them back with a little something from the Blue Loon.

Senior year, here they come! 🎓🖤💛🎓

Tomorrow, Jacob, Roran, and Sara head back to Kearsarge Regional High School for the start of their senior year!

Jacob has been part of the Blue Loon team for three years, Roran for a year and a half, and Sara joined us for her first summer. We’re so grateful for everything each of them brings to our team, and especially happy that heading back to school doesn’t mean saying goodbye.

They’ll be balancing classes, activities, all those senior-year milestones, and shifts at the Blue Loon, and we feel pretty lucky to have them sticking around.

Here’s to a great first day tomorrow, a memorable senior year, and all the exciting things ahead. Help us wish Jacob, Roran, and Sara good luck! 💙💛🖤

🍎 Back to School. Back to Blue Loon. 💙

It’s a big week around New London!

Teachers are heading back to their classrooms, local students are getting ready for their first day, parents are wondering where the summer went, and later this week, a whole new group of Colby-Sawyer College students and families will be arriving in town. 🎓

We know back-to-school season can be exciting, bittersweet, a little chaotic, and sometimes all of the above.

So this week, we’re celebrating the teachers, parents, students, and newest members of our CSC community who make this time of year so special.

We have a few little Blue Loon treats and surprises planned throughout the week, so stay tuned. 💙

Not all of our college send-offs are actually goodbyes. 📚

Jaxon joined the Blue Loon team this summer as our first-ever Float — or, as we like to call him, our Jaxon of all trades. He jumps in wherever he’s needed and helps out with a little bit of everything around the bakery.

Tomorrow, Jaxon is starting his freshman year at NHTI-Concord's Community College, majoring in General Studies with plans to become a Physician Assistant. And lucky for us, he’s sticking around at the Blue Loon while he goes to school!

Jaxon, we’re so glad this summer was just the beginning. Good luck with your freshman year! 💙

But we couldn’t resist dipping into fall flavors a few days early.
