Terms and Conditions for The Brown Box Bakery - SE Iowa

Welcome to The Brown Box Bakery - SE Iowa!
1. Order Timing
* Standard orders must be placed at least one (1) week in advance. However, please feel free to reach out at any time to check availability, as we may still be able to accommodate your order.
* A rush order is considered two (2) days in advance and a 15% upcharge may occur.
* Wedding cakes and large special event orders (including, but not limited to, weddings and graduations) require a a minimum three (3) months’ notice to secure your date. However, please feel free to reach out at any time to check availability, as we may still be able to accommodate your order.
2. Payment
* Full payment is required at the time of ordering to reserve your date unless otherwise agreed upon.
* Orders are not considered confirmed until payment has been received unless otherwise agreed upon.
* Booking for a wedding or large event will require a deposit three (3) months in advance or at time of booking and is non-refundable and full payment required two (2) weeks prior to event. No refunds will be issued.
* Accepted payment methods: Cash, Check, Venmo, PayPal, All Major Credit Cards. A processing fee may apply.
3. Refund Policy
* Because all items are made-to-order and time is reserved specifically for your event, all sales are final and no refunds will be issued.
* This policy applies to cancellations, date changes, unused products, and changes in event plans.
* If The Brown Box Bakery makes an error with your order contact should be made to the bakery within 12 hours and we will determine whether a credit will be issued. We will gladly apply a credit toward a future order based on that decision. Credits must be used within 6 months.
4. Order Changes
* Minor changes may be requested up to 3 days prior to pickup, but approval is not guaranteed.
* Significant changes (such as size, flavor, or design) may require a new order.
5. Pickup & Delivery
* Pickup is available in New London. Exact details will be provided after payment. A delivery charge will apply outside of New London city limits.
* Please arrive on time so your baked goods remain fresh and in perfect condition.
* Once an order has been picked up or delivered, responsibility transfers to the customer.
6. Product Care
* Cakes and cupcakes should be transported on a flat surface and kept at the recommended temperature.
* We are not responsible for damage that occurs after pickup or delivery.
7. Allergens
* Our home kitchen may handle common allergens including wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts.
* We cannot guarantee that any product is completely allergen-free.
8. Design & Artistic Style
* Every item is handmade, and slight variations from inspiration photos are normal.
* By placing an order, you trust our artistic style and creative judgment.
9. Photography
* We may photograph our creations for social media use unless you request otherwise.
10. Liability
* The Brown Box Bakery - SE Iowa is not responsible for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, or damage resulting from the consumption or handling of our products.
11. Force Majeure
* If circumstances beyond our control occur (such as severe weather, power outages, or emergencies), we reserve the right to cancel an order. If this happens, you will receive a full refund.
12. Agreement
* By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
