This custom bridal shower cookie set was inspired by the beloved movie The Parent Trap and all the little details that made us fall in love with the story. From the camp references and playing cards to the engagement ring and iconic quotes, every cookie was designed to celebrate a love story that was simply meant to be. 💍💙

Today is National Cancer Survivor day!

For those that don’t know, 4 years ago I was hit with those horrible words. “You have ovarian cancer”. We went through chemo, losing my hair, constant vomiting, exhaustion like I’ve never felt before, constant blood draws and ER trips…and more that I won’t bore you with. Lol.

But in the end, I needed a hysterectomy. To hear that at 32 years old was a shock. I think that broke me more than the cancer did. I wanted more kids. I always did. And to this day, this part still bothers me. But I’m here. I get to raise my son and watch him grow up. I get to see my nieces and my family and that matters more to me than anything I “could” have had.

I still feel like I’m kissing a part of myself. I still feel kinda “yucky” inside. And I’m still dealing with the affects of a hysterectomy. Menopause sucks so early on 😂

But I am so incredibly thankful for the staff, for the doctors and nurses and to my family and friends who stuck by me through it all. They are all the real hero’s in this story.

Today my son graduated 8th grade. In February, we left public school and went to Rural Virtual Academy. It was the best decision we ever made! I am an incredibly proud mom. Andrew not only was successful but ended today with all A’s. He has confidence now and for once, he’s proud of himself! RVA was an incredible choice and I can’t wait to see what Andy’s high school career is like with RVA next year! Peace out middle school, hello high school!
