Mimi’s Cakes and Goodies Contract
Bookings: I require a two (2) weeks’ notice prior to your event. The two (2) weeks’ notice is for small parties for up to 30 guests at your event. For larger cakes for up to 30-100 guests, I’ll need a three to four (3-4) weeks’ notice prior of your event. Wedding Cakes I require at least a six (6) months’ notice prior to your event. Deposits: I require a 50% n
on-refundable deposit at time of booking. Your date will not be guaranteed until I receive your deposit. If your cake requires the use of my equipment I will require a $35.00 deposit. Equipment must be returned within 5 days post event and clean; it is the responsibility of the customer to return all equipment; there will be a $10:00 fee for equipment returned dirty. If any of my equipment is lost or broken I will send you a bill for the cost of the replacement if larger than the deposit. You will have a list of equipment that is used and a container to return my equipment in. Payment: Final payment for non-wedding cake is due at pick-up; Cash or checks made out to Rosie Hamel; Wedding cakes final payment is due two (2) weeks prior to wedding
Delivery: customers are responsible to pick up their cake, unless there is setting up to do with the cake like for a Wedding. First 10 miles are included with your cake price. Beyond the 10 miles there will be a $25.00 charge for the first 10 miles and an additional $10.00 for each 10 miles after that to the event
Venue Requirements: it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the venue provides a level table for the cake, make sure any other decorations on the cake table are placed before delivery. Mimi’s Cakes and Goodies are not responsible for the cakes that are set up in a warm room or outside. Desire temperature is 75 degrees or less. Fresh Flowers: If you’re considering fresh flowers, please have your florist deliver them at least two (2) hours prior to the wedding. It’s up to the customer to make sure the flowers or added decorations on the cake and is there at the time of the cakes delivery, if not, there will be a $50.00 waiting fee. Color Matching: It can be a little difficult to get a color exactly right-I’ll need a piece of material or item for the color you want. Mimi’s Cakes and Goodies will do our best to match. Photography: I will be taking a picture of your cake after I get it all set up for my own use. I would also like you to send me a picture of the bride and groom standing by their cakes for my website. Changes: If you need to make changes on your wedding cake design; I would need at least a months’ notice; additional charge may be added depending on the design. If you need a change in servings; I’ll need 2 weeks’ notice and additional charge maybe added. Cake Toppers: I’ll be happy to put your cake topper on your cake, just make sure it’s placed on the cake table prior to the cake delivery time (Please let me know if your cake topper is heavy)
Changes of the Design of your cake: Sometimes it’s necessary to change the design just a little on your cake and I reserve the rights to slightly change the design
Liability: Once your cake leaves my house I’m not responsible for any damage to the cake. Once your wedding cake is set up and complete at the venue I’m no longer responsible for the cake
