Boos, brews, and a little something sweet! 👻🎃

Downtown New Glarus is getting into the Halloween spirit this Saturday, October 17, for the annual Boos & Brews Halloween Pub Crawl!

With costumes, drinks, prizes, and plenty of Halloween fun, it's a great excuse to get together with friends and enjoy an evening in our little village.

And we happen to have a bakery treat that fits the occasion perfectly. 😉

Meet our Boo Z Pumpkin Pie Alp, made with pumpkin pie filling, cake, and bourbon crème liqueur. A little pumpkin, a little boozy twist, and a whole lot of fall flavor!

We’re down to a limited number of Apple Pie Alps, and once they’re gone, they’re gone for the season. So if you’ve been meaning to grab one (or you already discovered how good they are), this is your warning that the window is closing!

Fall is officially taking over at the bakery. ☕🎃🍎

First up: Buy One, Get One FREE on all coffee drinks on National Coffee Day, September 29 only! Grab your favorite, bring a friend, or keep both. We’re not judging. 😉

Then it’s time to make room for pumpkin. Pumpkin Frycakes are arriving at the end of September, kicking off an October lineup filled with Pumpkin Frycakes, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Scones, and Pumpkin Cruellers.

But before we get completely carried away with pumpkin, apple season deserves one last goodbye. 🍎 September 30 is the last day for our September-only apple favorites, including Apple Pie Alps, Apple Bratzeli Pockets, Apple Kuchen, and Apple Turnovers.

Coffee today. Pumpkin tomorrow. One last bite of apple in between.

Today is National Bakery Day, and we can’t think of a better time to say thank you. ❤️

For 116 years, New Glarus Bakery has been part of this community. Generations of customers have walked through our doors for breads, pastries, donuts, cakes, and the traditions that make a neighborhood bakery feel like home.

Every time you stop in, bring a bakery box home to your family, recommend us to a friend, or make us part of one of your traditions, you help keep ours going too.
And this weekend is a pretty wonderful time to celebrate New Glarus. Oktoberfest is happening downtown through Sunday, with live music, food, local b**r, and plenty of reasons to spend a little extra time in our village.

If you’re joining the festivities, come see us while you’re downtown and pick up something sweet for the weekend. Pumpkin Bars are here for Oktoberfest, and they seem like a pretty fitting way to welcome fall. 🎃

Most of all, on National Bakery Day, thank you for continuing to support this 116-year-old bakery. We’re grateful to still be baking for New Glarus after all these years.

Cheese Days is underway in Monroe, and tomorrow's Swiss Colony Cheese Days Parade is another wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Swiss heritage that makes our corner of Wisconsin so special.

There’s a lot that happens before they make it into the bakery case. A little rolling, cutting, frying, filling, glazing... and plenty of early-morning work from our bakers.
