St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and the oven is warmed up!

If you’d like something fresh and homemade for the week or for your holiday table, I’m taking orders now for some Kneady Kat favorites along with a few Irish-inspired specials.

Everything is baked fresh in small batches using my sourdough starter, Laverne.

March is here tomorrow… and so is the Guinness.

The March menu is open with two Irish-inspired loaves infused with Guinness stout and sourdough depth.

🍀 Irish Wheaten Pullman
🍀 Guinness Wheat Boule

Both are rich with whole grains, and that unmistakable malty warmth that only stout can bring. They toast beautifully, pair perfectly with butter and sharp cheddar, and feel like something you’d eat in a cozy pub while the wind howls outside.

Your favorites also available on our menu and yes, Laverne has been very busy.

I’ve been quietly working in the test kitchen… ☘️
March is bringing something special to The Kneady Kat.

Both of these loaves are made with Guinness, but they couldn’t be more different. On one side: a classic artisan boule, deep, malty, lightly wheaty, with that bold crust and tender crumb you love. Rustic. Dark. A little dramatic.

On the other: an Irish Wheaten Pullman, whole wheat, oats, a touch of molasses, and stout for depth. Sliceable, hearty, and absolutely made for warm butter.

This was our first test run, and let’s just say… March is going to taste very good.

Menu updates coming next week.

Laverne’s Second Rise Cinnamon Swirl Loaf officially joins the lineup - soft, enriched sourdough with cinnamon sugar and a light cream cheese glaze.

The rest of the menu stays classic (because classics exist for a reason) and of course all the favorites.

Not every bake goes exactly as planned and that’s okay.

I set out to make cinnamon rolls, but the dough had a different idea. Instead of forcing it, I pivoted and let it become a cinnamon swirl loaf.

Same dough, same flavors — just a different (and honestly pretty great) result.
