What is Field Day you ask?... It's one time each year that amatuers aka 'Hams' seek a portable location to operate in a practice emergency drill. They set up portable antennas, find ways to operate on several different types of power, Solar, battery, wind and other ways.
The goal is to contact other Hams in as many states and sometimes foreign countries.
The Henry County club will be setting up temporary stations this year at the Veterans Museum in Memorial Park north of New Castle, In.
The event will start at noon Saturday 6-27 and conclude at noon on Sunday 6-28, 2026
One does not need to be a licensed Ham to participate. We will have licensed Hams on site to show you about what we are doing. We may even hand you a microphone and put you on the air.
Come on out to Memorial Park and see what todays Ham radio is all about. All are welcome.

The annual ARRL Field Day is just around the corner. June 27-28, 2026. This year at Veterans Museum at Memorial Park. The event will begin at noon on Saturday and conclude at noon on Sunday.

We plan on having at least 2 if not 3 stations on the air most of the weekend. One need not be a licensed ham to come visit and maybe even let you operate a bit?
