Can we PLEASE settle this once and for all? 😂

Apparently the fight over getting rid of the twice-a-year time change is back again… and I need to know where everybody stands.

Would you rather:

🌞 Keep Daylight Saving Time YEAR-ROUND and have more daylight in the evening?

🌅 Keep Standard Time YEAR-ROUND and have more light in the morning?

⏰ Or keep changing the clocks twice a year like we’ve apparently decided is a fun little tradition?

Personally, I am OVER changing every clock in the house, wondering why the microwave is wrong for six months, and spending three days trying to convince my body that 7:00 is actually 8:00. 😂

But I know people have STRONG opinions about those dark winter mornings versus it getting dark before dinner.

So I want to hear it…

I never thought I’d be writing something like this on what used to be our Surfside Baking Company page…

So many of you knew John through the bakery. You saw us together when you came in. If you got to try his Hawaiian rolls or cinnamon bread you know there is no better.

This page was once filled with cinnamon buns, whoopie pies, laughter, long days, and the life we built together.
Now I’m just trying to figure out how to exist without him in it.

If you knew John, loved him, or even just stopped in and talked with us at the bakery… you were part of our story. And I know you felt what made him so special.

Thank you for the love, the prayers, the messages… I see every single one. I just don’t have the strength to answer them all right now.

I may plan something here in New Bern when everything calms down to remember him. I will keep everyone posted.
