As I prepare to open the doors one final time tomorrow, I’ve found myself reflecting on what these years have meant to me.
For many of you, this story actually began long before these last nine years. Some of you first found me at Ambrosia Bakery & Deli and followed me when I returned for this unexpected second chapter. What started as a business became something far more meaningful than I ever imagined.
Over the last few weeks, you’ve shared stories, memories, hugs, laughter, tears, flowers, strawberry shortcake, homemade peach jam, cards and gifts, and words that have touched me deeply. Many of you have told me what this bakery has meant to you over the years. What I hope you know is how much you have meant to me. 💗
I’ve had the privilege of baking for your birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, holidays, family gatherings, and everyday moments in between. I’ve watched children grow up, seen families expand, and welcomed familiar faces through my door year after year. Some of you have been part of this journey for more than a decade, and that is a gift I will never take for granted.
Over these years, I’ve been fortunate to share in many of life’s happiest moments. I’ve also seen some of life’s harder ones. I’ve celebrated with customers, worried alongside them, and sadly said goodbye to some dear friends whose presence is still missed. That’s part of what makes this farewell so bittersweet. This bakery was never just a place of business, it was a place where lives intersected, relationships were built, and a
community gathered.
Thank you for supporting not only this bakery, but both chapters of this adventure. Thank you for your loyalty, your friendship, your encouragement, and your kindness. Small businesses survive because of communities like this one, and I have been fortunate to be surrounded by the very best.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives. It has truly been an honor.
With gratitude,
Lisa
