In case you didn’t know - I’m workshopping sugar cookies with royal icing! I did my first batch yesterday and it made a ton - so I bagged them up and put them in the free food pantry around the corner around noon.

I checked back 3 hours later and they were gone!

Two days ago i completely filled the pantry with all kinds of non perishables, and they were all gone, too.

As I’m planning my mother in laws cake, I got to thinking about how quickly the 1st is approaching and how many people will be affected. I feel the inflation with making cakes and what I have to charge to even make a small profit. Prices are ridiculous. I can't imagine being worried about being able to give my kiddo a cake on their special day.

No family should have to go without a birthday cake 🎂

If you find yourself in need of a birthday cake, please reach out. I’ve made cake kits with a box mix, frosting, and a can of soda. If you aren’t able to get your hands on oil and eggs, just dump a soda in and it gives you the exact same results.

What an absolute privilege it is to be a part of such a big day.

A day that you know the bride has thought about all throughout her life. A day that brings two people together. A day that celebrates eternal love, and a commitment to another person, forever. The good and bad, challenges and triumphs. For better or worse.
