Hourly / $17

Duties:

· Aid in the daily production of baked goods including but not limited to cupcakes, cereal treats, cakes, pies, brownies, and cookies.

· Efficiently make batters, portion, and decorate each good in a timely manner

· Follow the company recipes consistently for uniform products

· Keep a sanitary and organized workstation at all times

· Respond to instruction from the Executive Pastry Chef and/or
Pastry Sous Chef

· Punctual, self-disciplined, and positive

Requirements:
· Must demonstrate previous experience working in a high-volume kitchen/bakery setting

· Must be able to keep up with production

· May be required to lift up to 50 lbs

· This is a standing position—employees will be on their feet for almost the entire shift

· Able to work with hands, communicate, take instruction, and work efficiently

· Must be familiar with sanitation principles and either possess and Food Safety certificate or must secure one within 30 days of hire

· Minimum 1 year prior experience as a baker/pastry cook/pastry chef, etc.

· Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

· Must be familiar with operating heavy machinery such as mixers, slicers, stoves, ovens, sheeters, and any other kitchen equipment

We know a lot of you have waited awhile for this. It was definitely a struggle—but there was never a chance of us giving up. Thank you everyone for your patience and continued support.

🧁Assistant Pastry Chef (Elm Hill Pike Production Kitchen)

-

Duties:

· Oversee kitchen production in absence of the Executive Pastry Chef

· Work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop procedures, recipes, and quality baked goods daily.

· Float in the production kitchen where needed daily, including but not limited to: making batters, decorating and finishing cupcakes and other goods, assisting with wedding cake design and ex*****on, and many other tasks

· Must be able to manage a team and work well with others

· Possessive extensive knowledge of pastry operations

· Exercise skill in production items such as mousse, buttercream, fillings, and sanitation protocols

Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED is required.

· Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a pastry cook, baker, or similar.

· Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

· Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.

· Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, environment and uphold company appearance/dress standards.

· Proven leadership skills to achieve goals while maintaining a high expectation of standards with regards to quality, presentation, and consistency required.

· Proven ability to develop and lead a strong team.

· Must have a passion for pastry and an active commitment to quality, safety, and sanitation practices.

· Must have extensive product knowledge and willingness to improve and develop your own skills.

· Pastry Certification or degree encouraged but not required

Sneak Peak! 🔮

We want to take a moment to give a partial sneak peak into the work we have done at our space at Opry Mills.

This location has turned out INCREDIBLE and we cannot wait to remove the walls and show everyone what we’ve been working so hard on!

These past few months have been extremely difficult on us as we navigate through the current supply chain environment and after effects from the early parts of the pandemic.

Thank you all for following along and being so patient with us as we round out this last phase of construction. We are doing everything in our power to open our doors and introduce Molly’s Cupcakes to Music City SOON! 🧁🎵
