Today was one of those days that reminds me how far this little bakery has come. From flour, water, salt, and starter to shelf after shelf of fresh sourdough cooling and ready for its next adventure.

Welcome and thank you for following my page, Kitchen Garden Sanctuaries. I’ve created this page to help document my successes and failures, and hopefully pass on some good informations to others.
I am in the Coastal Carolinas. Technically I’m in Zone 8b. However, I garden based on Cold, Cool, Warm, and Hot Seasons.
I will be posting videos about what I do for seed starting, transplanting, direct sowing, raised bed and soil maintenance etc. Some of what I post will definitely end up in failing- I’m okay with that, gardening is my passion and I learn more through failing- such as this year I’m going to start kale from transplant in the fall and not direct sow in September.
I will also be posting about how I use what I grow in the kitchen and how to make inexpensive, eco friendly cleaning products. Basically, how to homestead in the ‘burbs without the farm animals.
Anyway, welcome aboard the crazy train.
