CM Cakes Bakin' is closing the doors effective Thursday, May 15, 2025.
As much as we have tried to avoid this moment, it looks to have finally arrived. We have realized that our health and our family must be our priority. I myself (Matt) have been associated with the baking business for nearly 50 years. When I was a child my mother started Creative Cakes of Myrtle Beach in order to supplement her income to support our family. As she got older we all realized that my wife (Lisa) had a God given natural talent for selling and above all, decorating! She is definitely a Cake Artist!! We formed our own company CM Cakes Bakin' in 2010 and through hard work, word of mouth, and Facebook the rest as they say is history. lol. We have always been a team. She sold the cakes, I baked them, she decorated them, and I delivered them. We have been so fortunate during the past 15 years to have been able to make a living doing something we love. One of my favorite things is to see a child's face just light up like the sun when they see their birthday cake when it's delivered or seeing and hearing how appreciative people are when they're cake is delivered and it is above and beyond what they'd even imagined.
