02/05/2026
With full hearts and deep gratitude, we are sharing that we have officially closed our storefront location as of February 3, 2026.
While this chapter at our storefront is coming to a close, we do retain ownership of You Eat I Bake. What the future looks like is still unfolding, but we are hopeful that this business — and its mission — can continue in a new and meaningful way.
This decision was made after several major life events which brought thoughtful considerations to what is best for our young family. Small business ownership is deeply rewarding, but it is also demanding in ways that often go unseen. What a customer experiences is only a fraction of what it takes to operate a business day in and day out.
We know this may come as a surprise and that the notice is short. The timing reflects careful and necessary consideration as we close this chapter with care for our family and the work behind the scenes. This has been a prayerful decision for our family, and in many ways, an answered prayer. If you’re ever curious about our faith or want to talk about Jesus, we’d love to share more with you.
To our customers — thank you feels both simple and impossibly large. Thank you to those who stopped in on a whim and discovered something special. Thank you to those who visited us week after week. Thank you to the families who scheduled vacation days around our open hours, who drove long distances and who trusted us with birthdays, holidays, milestones, and “just because” moments.
It has been an honor to serve this community.
From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: those with food allergies deserve GOOD food, too! That passion has never wavered.
We ask, now more than ever, that you support small businesses with kindness. Be patient. Be respectful. Remember that your support provides options — and without support, those options disappear. Whether you supported us or never had the chance to, we encourage you to intentionally choose a small business to support moving forward.
We also want to extend our sincere thanks to the businesses, professionals, and partners who believed in us along the way. Your referrals, shares, collaborations and encouragement carried us through more than you know.
As for 2834A — An exciting new bakery led by a talented pastry chef is on its way. We’ll be cheering them on and hope you’ll show them the same warmth and support you showed us.
Please keep in touch and continue advocating for sweet, safe, delicious food for all.
From the bottom of our hearts,THANK YOU!!
Haley, Kaleb and Chandler
