Some see sourdough as a silly trend or hobby. Honestly it saved my son’s lives. When anyone asks what got me started making bread the answer is simple. Cade. My little 6 month old was starting food and he was allergic to everything! Milk, eggs, soy, pork, peanut, tree nut, oats, and shellfish. What do you feed a child when one of those items is in almost everything? I would stay up all of of the night researching, trying new recipes. That’s when I stumbled upon sourdough. I got starter from a friend and started making everything! From there is has grown into something more then I could imagine.

Opening Day for The Farmers Market of Carbondale is just THREE days away! Come join our vendors outdoors this Saturday March 28th from 8am till noon at 2001 West Main Street for shopping and catching up!

Plus, don't forget it will also be the last indoor Food Works Winter Farmers Market of the season from 9am till noon. Please show the vendors there your support as well as their market staff for a great season. We are lucky to have markets with dedicated staff all year long in Carbondale!
