Sometimes following and trusting God takes you to places you would not have ever planned on. A few years ago, Jordan (my hubby) and I realized I might need to start doing something to help bring in supplemental income for our family. I didn’t want to give up being a stay at home mom, or volunteering at church, so I looked into some more creative options. I told Jordan I wanted to take a leap and trying running my own sourdough baking business! He seemed skeptical, but we agreed that if God wanted it to work out, it would! Y’all, I am humbled and blessed by the outpouring of support I have received over the past almost 3 years, and receiving an award this week was incredibly special. We have been able to meet many of our neighbors and community members through Brown House Bakery and hope to continue developing those relationships. God has been faithful to provide for our family! It has not always been easy, but it has been good! 😊

We really didn’t know what to expect today with the weather, but it was great seeing everyone and meeting more neighbors throughout the day! Our family is thankful for all of your support! We ❤️ our little city!

It’s Cornival time! 🌽 The rides are as big as my hair in this humidity! 😄

We are at Murphy Maize Days today until 7:00pm! Come by, say hi, and pick up some baked goodies! It might be a bit damp, but it’s great seeing all of our neighbors and meeting many new ones! We are in the PSA parking lot, but parking is at Kimbrough stadium. Many of the rides have been moved to the pavement so there’s less walking in the wet grass!

Are y’all ready for Murphy Maize Days Carnival? Rain or shine, come visit me and grab some yummy baked goodies in the vendor section this Saturday! Maize Days is a full day of entertainment, live music, midway rides, vendors, food trucks, and activities for all ages! Because this is a little bit different set up than my normal markets, I’ve added some images to give you an idea of the layout of the carnival, including where to park, as there is no onsite parking. More information including purchasing a wristband for rides can also be found on the Murphy Maize Days site here:
