I'm really looking forward to the holidays already (I absolutely loathe summer) and I've been collecting recipes and inspiration for piecakens. 😃 Seeing as I love to make cheesecake, I'm planning to do a bottom layer of cheesecake, a middle layer of cake, and a top layer of pie, all topped off with a whipped icing. I absolutely cannot wait! Is it fall yet???

June was a lot of fun. I didn't photograph and post everything, which is a disappointment, but it was great to be back with my KitchenAid, making special orders for you. I got to make 3 orders for the LGBTQIA community during Pride month, which made my heart happy, too.

I'm going to be testing recipes for angel food cake and working on neapolitan cakes and cheesecakes for July. As always, you can order anything from me, anytime of year, whether it's on the posted menu, or not. ❤️

I didn't get great pictures of the cakes that accompanied last weekend's charcuterie tower, and I'm really kicking myself for it. These are what I would call "proofs": quick snaps I sent to a friend who was involved with setup just to say, "Hey, I got them done, what do you think?"
These were half-sheet cakes for a 90s themed wedding. If you lived through that decade, you'll understand the theme immediately.

Hi, friends! Super important reminder on my stance as Cake Fite, especially during Pride month:

A friend and customer reached out to me today to ask me for a cake that would celebrate their trans son's top surgery. They were worried I'd be against it, morally, and told me another baker had ignored them. That really made my heart ache, and I felt disappointed in myself that someone would have to ask that question. I was all too happy to jump in and take this order! 💙🩷🤍🩷💙
Cake Fite is an LGBTQIA+ ally 12 months of the year. I'd love to help you celebrate coming out, marrying the love of your life, transitioning, and every other prideful event that deserves cake.

I won't be able to post this particular cake because it is the celebration of the removed anatomy. 👻🐝 😁 On that note, I make other "unpostables" for bachelor and bachelorette parties, so don't be shy to reach out with requests. I am all about LOVE!

9" Raspberry-Lemon Cake: 🍋 Two layers of tangy lemon cake soaked in lemon simple syrup, filled with raspberry coulis, covered in lemon icing, and topped with even more raspberry coulis. It's spring in every bite. $35
