Good news, friends—we were able to get our hands on some fresh walleye for Walleye Wednesday!

Because of the travel time required to pick up the fish, we will be opening our walleye service at NOON today. We appreciate your patience and promise it's worth the wait!

Come enjoy a delicious walleye dinner, made fresh and served with your favorite sides. Quantities are limited, so don't wait too long!

I realize scheduled post went out regarding our situation and yes, I am traveling back from St. Louis. I’m picking up supplies for the store. We had posted weeks ago that we were going to be closed today and I also sent off a announcement so I am sorry that you guys are so upset. It is not my intention to cause waves here we do need help and we are trying to stay open, but I do have a family and I also have responsibilities outside of having the restaurant and they conflict that certain times and our normal schedule is Monday through Friday. We are no longer open Saturdays and Sundays we tried that, and it did not work for us. Unfortunately, this event was pre-scheduled and I had made many posts about it, but not everybody sees everything and Facebook doesn’t always push my notices out in time. I just saw that my last post that I made from yesterday just showed up about an hour ago so you’ll have to understand and give me a little grace here. I am a one person operation.

💗 From the Bottom of My Heart, Thank You 💗

Today was one of those days that I will never forget.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every single person who walked through our doors, placed an order, shared a kind word, or simply chose to support Hutch Creek Country Kitchen. Your support means more than you could ever know.

The reality is that times are tough right now for small businesses. Every customer, every meal purchased, and every act of support helps keep this dream alive. Today reminded me why I started this journey in the first place and why I continue to fight for it every day.

We had a very small crew today, with just two people working hard to keep everything moving. It wasn’t perfect, and we definitely hit a few bumps along the way, but we gave it everything we had. I want to give a special thank you to Shawn for stepping in and helping Joe, and to my family, who answered my call and showed up when we needed them most during those final busy hours.

There were moments today that were emotional for me. Seeing the dining room full, seeing familiar faces and new ones, and feeling the support of this community reminded me that Hutch Creek is more than a restaurant. It’s a dream, a passion, and a labor of love.

To everyone who has supported us, encouraged us, shared our posts, told a friend about us, or simply chosen to spend your hard-earned money with us—thank you. You are helping keep this dream alive.

Tonight my heart is full, my feet are tired, and my gratitude is endless.
