To most people this is just a cake. You would be right, it is just a cake but today it represents so much more. Today I had the Privilege to bake a cake for a loved one. One who had cancer and like most people weren’t sure of the outcome. This cake represents a celebration today. Another year, another month, one more day to love and to be a part of something worth celebrating.

So today I made a double German chocolate cake with a delicious pecan pie filling!!! Finished with a Belgian chocolate ganache frosting. This is his favorite cake so why not go all out. Life is too short to not enjoy the little things.

What an honor it is to be able to celebrate life. Happy birthday to my Brother-in law!!! We get to celebrate you today!!!!!

Just wanted to say thank you for all the orders the last couple days!!! Seriously you guys have been keeping me busy!!!! 35 fried pies went out the door in just a matter of a couple hours!!! On top of the farm stand staying busy as well!!! That being said I will have fresh pies up for grabs tomorrow. These will only be peach this round. Let me know if you want some!! If you don’t want them all fried you can also get them frozen for a later treat!!!

I have fried pies going out tomorrow morning at 7am. I have a few left up for grabs. These will be prepaid only. I won’t be putting them in the farm stand so you will have to pick up.

I will have the farm stand open tomorrow!! 5/27/26 7am-5pm. 4 pk cinnamon rolls, cookies and a few other great items as well. The kids made new wild flower jars today from the farm. These will also be available along with fresh herb jars!!!!

Thank you too everyone who has stopped by everyday that I’ve been open. Just a friendly reminder on the side of the cash box is a spot where you can fill out a card and let me know if you have any request or suggestions. I’m always grateful for the feed back.

Even when life is chaotic, canning season will always be my favorite. I grew up old school and I loved every bit of it. OK maybe not the weeding in the garden part but everything else in between absolutely. Canning season has just begun and I am excited to always try new recipes. Keep the old ones and continue to make my family‘s favorite. This week I made strawberry jam and then of course I had to make cowboy candy because that is a must in this household. I also played around and decided to try cowgirl Candy. It’s definitely another one of those that will continue to stay. A little bit of sweet and spice is perfect for any barbecue!!!🍖🍗

First round of strawberry jam completed!!! I got to harvest my first round of Yukon gold potatoes!!!! 🥔
