Last week was one of those weeks I looked at on my schedule in August and knew it was going to be a long, hard week with a big work load scheduled. Fast forward a couple weeks to breaking my foot, I got a little more nervous thinking about that week specifically. Then I topped it off with breaking my wrist right before that week started🫠. I questioned how I was ever going to lift heavy cakes to stack them, wash dishes with my new wrist cast, unload ovens, etc., on top of being home with my 3 year old and 10 month old to do basic tasks for them, while still being on a knee scooter as well. There is simply no other way I got through last week (and the past 4 weeks) without the grace and love of Jesus. I prayed my way through each day and He met me EVERY time. I was somehow able to get the biggest 4 tier wedding cake of the year done and setup. Of course with many helping hands of lifting lol (my husband guessed it weighed 80+ pounds put together!). I was able to pull off weddings #6 and #7 of the month. By Saturday evening, I had no idea how it was even Saturday or how all my orders got completed, I just knew I made it through - only because of God🥹. He sent so many people to help. My grandparents came down every day to help while my husband was at work (whatever shift it may have been). They did anything they could to help, from the kids to my dishes to meals - truly a blessing to have them! My mom came to help after she got off work each day, even spending the night to help with the kids when I needed, and helped with all my deliveries this weekend. My aunt came down anytime she could to help anywhere she could as well! My husband has taken on so much in the past month with all the added responsibilities and I am so thankful for the rock he is to our family. I am truly so lucky to be married to the most selfless man🥹. God has blessed me beyond measure and I always want my work to glorify Him and his faithfulness even in the midst of all the chaos and life challenges. I never want to get so busy and caught up in life that I forget how much I NEED Him to get through each day, broken bones or not!

With all of that being said, I obviously have not had time to respond to messages between Doctors appointments, orders, mom duties, etc. I will be trying to work on those this week! I mentioned this a couple weeks ago after I broke my foot but wanted to put a reminder out that I will likely not be able to take on last minute orders. Especially now with a broken wrist as well lol. I appreciate all your business and support so much, you keep me SO busy and I am so grateful for that! Thank you for the added patience this past month, it certainly hasn’t been easy getting around on a scooter for the past 4 weeks - I know it could’ve been worse and for that, I’m grateful! Hoping for good news at my appointment tomorrow and that I might be able to start putting a little weight on my foot again! If you’ve read this far, thank you and I appreciate you lol!

It might be wedding season but I’m still doing cakes for every other event too🤪 A couple gravity cakes that were so fun to do! 🍝 The spaghetti and meatball cake was for a baby shower with the theme of “a little meatball is on the way” — how fun! I actually did two of the same cake, one chocolate and one vanilla, I just forgot to take a picture of both of them together lol. And then the Coca Cola cake was for a birthday😊❤️
