Wilma’s laying spot. Is she an outdoor chicken now…. Yes…… does she need these plastic bags…. Also yet…. For whatever reason she insists on coming in to lay her egg 🥚

As I get older the truer this is.

When you clean the coop and find the massive stash of eggs your hen has been laying on.

For context we knew one was laying on some eggs. She was tucked behind a metal troth we had in the coop.

What we didn’t realize is there was a bunch of girls who happily dropped eggs off the her to hatch 😂

So …. Needless to say we may have 11 more hatching 😳

Did you know you can regrow scallions?

I took these down to the white part and just put them in some water. I need to transfer them to soil so they can finish growing!

19 chicks were taken out to the coop to get to know the other chickens.

10 babies still in the house.

Three chickens are broody and sitting on eggs.

I fell we’re going to have more chicks here shortly….

It’s a good thing my husband loves them as much as me 😳

The babies have officially been moved to the big girls coop! So much room for them to run and play. They will be enclosed for a week to two depending on weather and other factors. The first week the big girls need to get to see and know them without having access to them.

If we do not do this it opens them up to potentially see the little as a threat and kill them.
