organic sourdough sandwich bread 🍞✨

this light, soft + fluffy sandwich bread is a staple in my house for a reason and now it can be a staple in yours, too. this bread is deliciously tender and still fermented just like a classic artisan loaf. it is perfect for sandwiches (duh) and so incredibly satisfying as a piece of lightly toasted bread with some butter, jam or whatever your heart desires!

i’ve received a lot of questions recently about the texture of the scones offered at milo bread + bakes. when you think of a scone, you may picture something dry, crumbly, or overly flaky…but i am here to tell you that all of our scones carry a different story

they are tender, buttery and soft in all the right places. with a delicate crumb that melts as you bite in. never dry, never heavy…just deeply satisfying and made to be savored slowly with a cup of coffee, tea or shared in the sunshine

jalapeño cheddar sourdough loaf 🌶️🧀 this is by far my favorite flavor combination and if you try it, you’ll understand why. it is incredibly delicious and full of flavor 💥 i use pickled jalapeños and sharp cheddar (grass-fed + organic) creating a savory, comforting + slightly spicy flavor (the level of spice can be adjusted to your liking!) this loaf is something special, both on its own, toasted with butter, or used to make a delicious breakfast sandwich, tuna melt or dipped in your favorite soup/chili 🤤

sourdough starter is far more than just flour + water. it is the living, breathing heart of each and every bake. in a fast-paced world, sourdough demands patience, forcing me to slow down, wait on fermentation + work with time rather than against it

to me, it is where baking becomes a relationship with nature - you’re caring for this little living world of wild yeast and bacteria (the good kind), learning its rhythm, working with it instead of rushing it

and in return, it gives you something deeply nourishing, full of character, and incredibly delicious 😋 i find that the process transforms into a deeply healing + satisfying personalized art form
